We are all human and have flaws. Even if you’re physical appearance or social skills aren’t what you wish they were, that doesn’t have to stop you from being confident. Here’s how to believe in yourself.
1. Quit taking everything so personally if you want to be confident. Knowing how to be confident is a critical life skill and learning how to gain confidence is easier than many think.
2. As you learn who you are, you gain confidence in your strengths and also learn your weaknesses. (Angela Birt)
Learning who you are doesn’t happen overnight. For one thing, it can be hard to know which parts of you are you, and which parts are who you think you should be.
3. Modesty and confidence work exceptionally well together in the battle against arrogance. To be considered confident without arrogance, act with humility when you are recognized for a job well done, and be accountable for your role in any errors that transpire.
4. Admit to mistakes. This may be the hardest tip to have to accept. By knowing and admitting to yourself what your strengths and weaknesses are will boost your confidence. If you tackle a project that is out of your scope then you will only be setting yourself up for failure.
