How to Properly Take Care of Your Hair

Having weak and brittle hair can be troublesome. It always sets off a slight panic alarm every time you brush your hair and you see just too many loose strands on your brush. Thankfully, maintaining and taking care of weak or brittle hair is easy.

If you are looking for a great way to maintain your long not so tame-able hair, then here are some things that you might want to consider.

Step 1

Get yourself a really good quality hair brush. Do not just use some badly made hair brushes, or old brushes with broken or uneven teeth, as they can snag your hair and cause breakage. Ideally, get yourself a brush with boar bristles, or a brush with bristles made out of bamboo.

Step 2

Another way to help prevent hair loss is to make sure that you don’t style it in a way that will influence it negatively. For instance, blow-drying your hair is identified to affect the cuticles that defend the hair. In order to prevent damage, you should use the heat level on low if you have to blow dry you hair.

Step 3

Is it better to braid your hair or put it in a ponytail when it’s dry. Why? It is simple: wet hair is more fragile, so you could damage it. Wet hair will break very easily if it is not combed very gently. If you have long hair, you should squeeze the excess water from your hair with a towel. Never rub your hair between the towel to dry it, this can cause severe breakage.
